anyone seen the printed text of the Flame Seeker Prophecies?

I know the Vizier/Lich rattles off the prophecy verbally in the ending movies of mission 22 (Thunderhead) and mission 24

but I dont want to do those missions again just to watch the end movie so I can write it down lol

But the rest, about the Vizier giving the Charr the power to cause the Searing(the gift that keeps on giving!) and then poking things along when necessary, makes sense. At least it does to me.
Perhaps the Vizier knew what he was doing the entire time? Perhaps he had read the prophecies beforehand, and to read the scroll, he needed a reason. The reason was the defense of Orr. And in the process of doing that: Instant army, which he would need for his attacks on Kryta.

Yes, we pretty much are the good-guys. Although, I'd like to see some sort of evil plot-line released for GW.

I must say thats it's very noticable that there are hardly any side-quests at all after the desert. Ok, you got huge areas to explore and far...explore some more but the game seems a bit 'empty' when you get to Droknars. Now, I'm not up RoF yet but so far I can only recall the 2nd 15 point quest and thats it.

Yeah, it does seem pretty empty. You'd think you could participate in some small side-quests aiding the dwarves against the Summit and Mursaat.

Hopefully that's something that they'll work on adding along with the new content areas. I rather like the additions they've made in earlier areas, they really do a lot to make you feel like you're part of a much bigger world and course of events going on around you. After ascension though things become very random and without any clear background of what's going on- one mission we're busting our Shining Blade buddies out from jail, next we're looking for a means to fight the mursaat and get some revenge, then all the sudden we're fighting the stone summit AND the mursaat for control of the dwarf capital? And then we're just sent packing to the ring of fire by that great guy the vizier. Last we heard from the dwarf king, he was way up in the north shiverpeaks, now he's suddenly back down south? If the Mursaat have basically destroyed the Shining Blade, what are they doing messing around in the Shiverpeaks at all? I really feel like I'm only getting half the story of what's going on in the world after ascension.

Hell, I'm even curious as to how the Lich got his hands on Rurik, and when. Also be kinda curious to see just what's happened to Ascalon after Rurik's departure. Is the place overrun? Are they still fighting along the wall? Ahh well, probably questions for Chapter 2 to answer. Or maybe another content update. There's still a big chunk of the southern corner of Ascalon to explore...

Yeah. If you look at the map.. How DID the Shining Blade get to the southern end of Shiverpeaks? By boat? Or did they for some odd reason decide to escape THROUGH Kryta, and into the north Shiverpeaks and THEN flee south?

I guess that would depend on how much popular support the Shining Blade had among the Krytans, or if they even had any boats available. The cutscene at Glint's Lair shows a group of blade fleeing overland up into the mountains, could be a few small groups managed to run and hide their way across Kryta and into the Shiverpeaks. Would be a great quest setup though, "Shining Blade Rearguard," escorting a group of shining blade stragglers into Droknar's or some other safe haven.

those were deadly trials

you dont fight the forgotten ones anywhere else in game
(with the exception of Dragons Lair)

for quests like Ancient Wisdom, you interact with a friendly forgotten one

pages 26 and 27 of the game manual describe how the forgotten ones were "custodians" to help the gods
Just to comment on a couple things, I believe the "Rift" was supposedly where all life came from and I believe is where dead people go? Anyway, I think "Back to the Rift with you!" is akin to "To hell with you!". Also, it said in the manual that the Charr, like the dwarves, humans, and all the other races, were Tyria-bound, and not specifically Rift people (can't think of another way to put it), as the serpents and forgotten are supposed to be.

One last thing, I think the importance of referring to the forgotten ones as "custodians" may be that they sort of "clean out" the weaker and/or non-chosen who are attempting to Ascend. Well, this would be sort of their new task I guess, as they maybe finished shepherding the creatures of Tyria while the gods created the world?

This has nothing to do with anything people have said so far, but right after you kill the lich and reinstate the bonds around the door, Glint tells you the volcano is about to erupt (When I did the mission I got scared, I almost thought I'd have to start running). They may or may not be linked, but I was wondering if anyone has speculation on whether or not the volcano that the Old Gods dropped the bloodstones in and later erupts has any connection with this volcano erupting as you see it at the end of the game.

And also, on another note, I think I found more evidence to support the Titans as the Charr's gods although it's a bit of a stretch. On page 58 of the manual, it says that the Charr's statues to their Gods are made out of obsidian. Obsidian is a fast-cooling volcanic rock, commonly found just after eruptions. We know the Titans are in the Ring of Fire islands, or at least that's one way to access them, so unless someone can tell me of another location where there's a volcano in Tyria... my best bet is that the obsidian for the Charr's statues comes from the Ring of Fire islands.

In my recollection, the Vizier tells you during the cutscene in the Sanctum Cay mission that Evinnia et al have been captured by the Mantle and are being *taken* to the Shiverpeaks.

Which explains why they are in prison there.

I vaguely remember seeing scenes of them fighting the mantle during that cutscene, but don't remember if the background is jungle, kryta, or mountain.

Guess I'll have to do that mission over again.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the first time I did Dragon's Lair, I couldn't help but think "Why the hell do I have an uneasy feeling of deja vu..?"

Then I went back to ascalon, and I noticed ... The "crystals" on the projectiles were the exact same typr of those on the crystal desert...

Maybe the charr got help of Glint...

WHAT? The mursaat looked like angels when I went through lord odrans portal...When I cme back to earth they looked..diffrent...but none the less they were the unseen ones...some of our allies wanted to destroy the unseen ones and they stole my scepter...So me and The mantle desided to kill our gods because the story was becomeing to complicated...instead we now worship gwen...she gave me all the blood stones...so we decided to make it into an ub3r 1337 skill called spectral agony...The mursaat where resuructed by the undead so yeah...we had to give up our ub3r 1337 skill and give it to them otherwise theyd murder my teddy bear...Then gwen got pissed once she found out and she killed all of the undead...but then she killed me and then destroyde lions arch and kryta...but luckily we were resuructed by yhte dead and we moved to orr...over there the forgotten ones and the seers killed us...and while all that was happening gwen stole the blood stones from
the mursaat...and she rebuilt her kingdom and resed our souls souls (the seers and the forgotten ones killed our souls)...and we were getting mighty pissed so we took gwens tapesrty shred and killed her with it...we then moved to the ring of fire (with gwens tapestry shred which was infused with the blood stones)...we killed the mursaat (somehow again...l) and killed everyone...then I got bored and destroyed the rift...thus killing the gods that the rest of the world belive in...
NOTE: *This is the real story*

This is really off-topic, but I think that this thread should be moved to Druid's Overlook, since this is definitely a discussion of the in-game story and lore. Don't let me distract you too much though.
